Advent Venture Partners LLP

With a background in chemical engineering and biotechnology, Jerry spent the first 20 years of his career in Monsanto's healthcare and petrochemical businesses, including a period as Director of Corporate Venture Capital. He joined Advent in 1985 and, since then, has successfully developed Advent's involvement in the LS sector, having supervised investment in over 35 private companies. He has been welcomed as a non-executive director by companies that include Dura Pharmaceuticals Inc, Oxford Glycosciences plc, Orthofix International NV, Professional Staff plc, Vanguard Medica (now Vernalis plc) and many other investee businesses. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University in the US.
