Ms Val Stevenson entered the London NHS Innovator Awards last year with her colleague, Ms Louise Jarret, and won first prize in the Publications Category.

Ms Stevenson said "I heard about the NHS Innovations Awards through our Trust R&D newsletter, but it was a colleague who urged me to apply. The application form was fairly short and to the point so i thought, why not!

We were delighted to hear we were shortlisted and four of the team go to go on a big night out at the awards ceremony.

The ceremony at Lord's Cricket Ground was great fun, with plenty of wine, food and live music. We were over the moon to win; it was a real boost to the whole team and has inspired all of us to get on with the next project".
