The NHS London Innovator Awards 2008 are designed to acknowledge and reward individuals who constantly strive to provide a better service for patients whether through new advances in technology or new products to improve the level of patient care.
Entry Categories
For 2008 there are 7 entry categories:
- Medical Diagnostics & Laboratory
- Medical Devices & Equipment
- ICT & Software
- Books, Interactive Media & Health Education
- Assistive Technology
- Therapeutics & Drug Delivery
- Mental Health
The closing date for entry is the 31st July 2008. Please read the Terms & Conditions before applying.
Five entrants from each category will be shortlisted by an independent, expert panel of judges. the winner of each category will be announced at the Awards Ceremony to whcih all shortlisted entrants will be invited.
The Award Ceremony
Last year's winners enjoyed an exciting awards evening at Shakepeare's Globe Theatre. This year the Award Ceremony will be at the fantastic Cafe de Paris on the 30th October 2008.

The Prizes
There is a prize of up to a maximum value of £2,500 for the following:
- Attendance at a medical/healthcare related conference of your choice for up to 2 people (including conference fees/travel/accommodation).
- Equipment/supplies for your department
- Development of your idea/invention/project
- A combination of the above
