Becoming an NHSIL Member Trust
By becoming an NHSIL Member, we can help establish your Trust as an innovative organisation by implementing a range of bespoke management processes to support the development of new IP and to bring new technologies and devices to the market place.
As part of our Membership Service Agreement, NHSIL can provide the following services to our Trusts:
- IP Audits (to identify new IP)
- Free IP Filings & Maintenance
- Business Advice
- Potential Board Seat
- Induction and Training Courses
Capturing innovation not only provides direct healthcare benefits but can result in financial return to the Trust which can then be channelled back into the healthcare service. This could improve the star rating of your Trust and provide excellent PR potential.
Support
Each Member Trust is assigned a dedicated Partnership Liaison Manager to act as the first point of call for your needs concerning the protection and development of innovations. Partnership Liaison Managers also develop close relationships with your IP Leads, R&D departments, as well as inventors, researchers, clinicians and any other member of staff who may have an innovation.

NHSIL provide a range of training programmes for your staff ranging from a 15 minute “basics” presentation to a full 1 day workshop for IP leads, R&D managers or any other members of staff who need a more in depth knowledge of intellectual property.
