Dr Franz Wittwer
Intellectual Property Manager

Franz joined NHS Innovations London in December 2006 after obtaining an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property (Queen Mary University, London). Before that he worked for DanioLabs (now part of VASTox plc, Abingdon) and Cambridge University where he developed an in vivo screening technology for drug discovery.

Franz was originally trained in molecular biology (MSc, University of Bern). He worked as a PhD student and postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Zurich discovering new components of molecular signalling pathways that are involved in diabetes and cancer.
