Sheila joined NHS Innovations London in August 2009.  She has a background as a Cardiovascular Project Manager with the Medical Research Council.  Previously she worked with the International Centre for Circulatory Health at Imperial College in the clinical trials area, Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, USA) and the University of Washington (Seattle, USA).  Her experience also includes the organisation and development of ultrasound training courses for nurses and physicians, as well as consulting work for Philips Healthcare and GSK.  Sheila holds a PhD in Clinical Medicine with an emphasis in cerebral autoregulation, and a registry in diagnostic medical ultrasound.
