Andrew joined NCLIH in January 2005 after completing his PhD in Tissue Engineering at the University of Westminster where he worked in conjunction with the Harefield Heart Science Centre. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Leeds University in 1998 and then went on to become a medical device engineer at a Leeds based SME that specialises in novel maxillofacial magnetic devices. Andrew was a member of the product development team and was instrumental in designing the products that helped the company to win a DTi SMART Achievement Award and Millenium Product Award.
